Hello Imps, 

Your very first day doing home school learning...wow! Make sure you have a good day and be kind to your adults!! 

Start the Day:

Listen to our good morning song just like we do in class…this will set you up for the day. Maybe you can sing along and teach it to someone at home.

It is really important to warm up those muscles ready for the day. You can them complete the space pencil control worksheet that can be found at the bottom of the page in the resources. If you are unable to print out the sheet maybe you could practice writing out your name, making sure they are the correct way. Remember to hold your pencil using your crocodile snap fingers!

Reading:

Choose a favourite book from home and have a look through. Can you sound out any of the smaller words? Use your sounds we have been learning in class. 

English:

Think about the character we met on Monday called Bob. Remember Bob works on the moon and travels there in a rocket. Can you draw a rocket for Bob to go in? Can you write the word Bob next to your rocket? Can you write the word moon? A picture of Bob (just incase you forgot) can be found in the resources. 

Maths:

Can you count to 20? See if you can write out the numbers 1-20 in order. You can use the space number grid to help you, this can be found in the resources below.  

Can you recognise all of the numbers? 

Phonics:

Revise all of our phase 2 sounds. A phase 2 sound mat can be found in the resources. You could use this to tick off the sounds you know.

Have fun and remember the real words go in the treasure chest and the alien words (not real words) go in the rubbish bin!

Afternoon activity:

Make a space rocket out of any materials you can find at home. You do not need to finish your rocket today as you can work on it over the week! Don’t forget to send in pictures of your rockets, I am so excited to see them.
