It is really important this term that we really work on our letter formation. We are going to work on the letter a today.

Have a try at writing the letter a. It can be really tricky so just have a go and don’t worry if it takes some time…we will practise some more when we get back to school. 

Reading:

Read with your adult today somewhere cosy and warm. Also don’t forget to use your monster read logins which you can have a go at. This will also help you with your reading. You will find your logins at the front of your pack we sent home. 

RE:

Think about the word Parish and how this describes a Church family, the area that a priest looks after. Have a look at the power point found in resources of our parish church and our new parish priest who looks after the Church. The priest is really important because he helps look after us and helps us to celebrate as a parish. When we go back to school, I am sure you will meet him. We will go through this together in our zoom lesson today. 

Paint or draw a picture of our parish priest. What is he wearing?

Maths:

Revise all of your phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds j, v, w and z, x and y, qu. You now have lots to go over, you are doing such a great job Imps, well done. 

Today we are going to go over and learn our tricky words. Can you remember any of the tricky words from last week?

Think about the tricky words: he, she, the, to. Try writing them on a piece of paper and stick them somewhere in your house. Keep looking at them and see if you can remember them. 

Afternoon activity:

Play the memory game. Put some items (whatever you can find around your house) onto a tray, look at all the items and then cover with a cloth. Ask someone to remove an item without you seeing. Can you work out what is missing?

Put the item back on the tray and have another go! Good Luck.
