Good morning Hobbits!

 

 

I am really looking forward to seeing you today at 11.00 and 1.00 on Zoom. We will be doing Spelling Test in our first Zoom and a check in on what is going well, what you like doing and how you are feeling in our second and going through any questions about the learning in the second.

Why is prayer important?

 

English

Today we are writing our build up. 

 

To start can you complete the sheet to get you in the exciting sentence writing mood! 

 

Now onto our build ups.

The build up is the lead up to the problem. It builds suspense and makes the reader excited to read on. You want to give clue to what is going on without giving the problem away. 

Using your plans make sure you follow what is going to happen. 

 

At the bottom of the page are some word maps to help you with your learning and using different words. These are like the ones in our English Buckets.

Be ready with the numbers 1-10 down the side of your page and the date which is 15.01.21.

 

You will be checking your answers yourself and emailing me your scores.

Arithmetic

• Try to do 30 minutes of Times Tables Rockstars- I shall be monitoring your progress!

Our focus this week is Place Value and Number Fluency.

Todays number is 971.

The worksheets are the bottom of the page you don't have to print it off you can just write the answers. 

You have 15 minutes to complete your sheet, take your time and think carefully. Don't forget about your presentation!

 

Art

Today is the day we are going to start our project. 

You have a lot of freedom and a lot of time in the project, the rest of the term to be exact.

 

You are going to create a portrait using any materials you want. You could create a collage, painting, drawing, sketch or a mix of them all. It can be abstract, realistic, cartoon whatever way you want it to be. 

 

I want you to create a portrait of a person who means a lot to you. Someone who makes you feel special. Show off your skills, take you time and be patient this should not be done in one day you have three more Fridays to do it. 

 

I absolutely can't wait to see them! 

 

 

Well done Hobbits you have done your second full week of Remote Learning. I am such a lucky teacher to have 30 fabulous Hobbitinos like you! I miss you all so much and I can't wait to be able to see you in person rather than through a screen and give you a big class cuddle!
