King's Coronation Party!

The sun was shining while the whole school and our families celebrated King Charles' Coronation on the field. The afternoon was filled with lots of delicious goodies, beautiful singing by the school choir and each class planted an apple tree to commemorate this wonderful occasion.

Have a look at some of the pictures that were taken to mark this historic event!

Great fun was had at our Easter craft event, making sock bunnies!

Christmas Craft Family Workshop!

Our families really got into the Christmas spirit on Wednesday 30th November during our Christmas Craft Workshop which was led by Kent Adult Education. Lots of beautiful Christmas cards were made using a range of materials and I am sure the recipients will be thrilled at the effort that was made in creating these unique cards. Take a look at some of the pictures from the event!

Happy Thoughts Workshop!

On Wednesday 28th September, Emily from Kent Adult Education delivered a Happy Thoughts Workshop. Families worked together to create a wonderful jar using a range of materials, they then wrote down happy thoughts and memories and put them in the jar.

Foodtastic!

On Thursday 14th July, Emily from Kent Adult Education delivered a healthy eating workshop. We learnt about the main food groups and discussed what makes the perfect pack lunch.

Families enjoyed putting together savoury wraps using a wide variety of fillings and then made some very colourful fruit kebabs!

It was great to see everyone enjoying their food together.

Stepping into Secondary

On Wednesday 6th June, Kent Adult Education delivered a workshop for Year 6 parents.

Parents were given the opportunity to reflect on how they were feeling about their child starting secondary school this included the positives and worries. There were discussions about what to expect and how best to support our children. It was great because there were parents who had already been through the transition and were able to share their experiences.

Elmer Workshop

On Wednesday 22nd June, Maureen from Kent Adult Education delivered a workshop based on Elmer the Elephant. Elmer is a colourful patchwork elephant who changes his appearance to fit in with his surroundings. This makes him different to other elephants; with his cheeky humour he goes on lots of adventures.

During the workshop the adults and children discussed why we are "one of a kind", we then listened to the story and created our own Elmer the Elephant using a milk carton and a range of colourful materials. We ended up with some very beautiful and unique elephants. Here are some pictures of the after school event.

Creative Paperworks

On Thursday 5th May we held our first KAE Family Course which was a huge success. Maureen Ross led the activity but children were given free reign with the materials that were provided. Adults and children worked together to create some truly wonderful masterpieces. Here are some pictures of the after school event.
