Design and Technology is an inspiring and practical subject that requires creativity, imagination and problem solving to design and make products, often within a variety of contexts. At Stella Maris, we value Design and Technology as an important part of our rich, engaging, broad and balanced curriculum. We ensure that it reflects our whole school learning values: Challenge, Creativity, Independence, Interdependence, Thinking and Spirituality. We provide children with opportunities to develop, plan and communicate their ideas, build their repertoire of knowledge and skills to make products and to evaluate the process. In turn we see children become resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable individuals and watch them apply this to daily life and the world around them.
