Today, stop and remember how much courage you have had to have to do your learning at home! Your adults have had to have courage too. Thank you so much for all the pictures you keep sending of your work, I absolutely love seeing your learning and its wonderful for you to see each other.

Use your playdough that you made or the playdough that we sent home to help build up your hand muscles. Try rolling, stretching, squashing the playdough in your hands. Then try and create some aliens, a rocket, a star, some planets etc using the playdough. 

Reading:

Spend some time today reading a book with your adult. You can then complete the reading worksheet found in resources. If you are unable to print the worksheet then you can simply read the word from the sheet, write the word on some paper and then draw your own picture. 

English:

Have a look at our new story found in the resources called ‘Aliens love underpants.’ I will be reading the story in our zoom session. When you have enjoyed the story, use the following link to listen to the space music, close your eyes or watch the space picture and think of a little adventure you have with the aliens from our book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wLwxmjrZj8. What happened on your little adventure? Draw a picture or lots of different pictures showing us what happened on your adventure. Ask you adult to scribe a couple of sentences for you, telling us what happened. I hope you had fun!

Maths:

Have a listen to the 3d shape song to remind you of the different shapes we looked at yesterday. Can you remember their names? Use some empty 3d boxes/toilet rolls etc that you have been collecting to create a space monster. Take a picture of your space monster and send it to me, I would love to see them. What shapes are you going to be using for your shape monster?

Phonics:

Revise all of your phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds that we have learnt so far (j, v, w and z, x, y, qu, ch, th, sh, ng and ai). Today we are moving on to the sound ‘ee’ and you can hear this sound using the following link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ci0oEO8dXE  Can you think of any words that have the ‘ee’ sound? Try writing them down, using your robot arms and sound buttons to help you. In the resources you will find an ‘ee’ worksheet if you wanted a little extra. 

Afternoon activity:

Design a new pair of underpants for those naughty aliens! You can use the template found in the resources or you can draw your own template. What design/pattern are you going to put on your underpants? Have a little think and experiment before you complete your finish pair! Maybe you could design and make more than one pair and then hang them on a washing line using pegs! This will also help with your fine motor skills, opening and closing those pegs. I am so excited to see all those underpants designs!!!!
