Thursday

Happy World Book Day!

Good morning Elves! Today we are going to be celebrating World Book Day so our Thursday will be a little different to normal. Have a look below to see what we will be getting up to!

Our Reflection theme this week is Forgiveness

We are going to watch this short clip during our Reflection time today. Why is it important to forgive others? How does it make us feel when we are able to forgive?

10am English (ZOOM)

This is our whole school text. We will be looking at it again during our 10am Zoom lesson. Today's task is to create a rainbow using materials of your choice. You could collage, paint or colour a rainbow. Perhaps you could make a rainbow using Lego? We will be creating a whole school display of every child's rainbow so please be sure to send it to me by the end of the day so I can print it out and include it in our display ♥

Here is a link to the story if you would like it:

11.30 World Book Day focus (ZOOM)

We are going to have a bit of fun with a rainbow themed game!

We will also think about our whole school Story in a box competition. We would like you to bring a book to life by making a story box. The deadline is Monday 15th March

2.10pm EYFS & KS1 Assembly (Zoom)

Storytime/quiet reading

Have a go at making a reading den or snug today! A reading snug like the one pictured above is so easy to make - you just need a fitted bed sheet and lots of cushions and pillows. Lay the bedsheet flat and push the pillows and cushions into each corner. Grab your soft toys, blankets and books and you will have the comfiest reading den to enjoy some reading!

If you look on the Video Resource Centre you can find me reading a story in my reading snug!
