Daily Reflection: Our focus this week is 'Forgiveness'

Take a moment to listen to the song and think about when people say sorry to you, do you always forgive them? Would you want people to forgive you if you upset them? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQPWbSfJIz0
"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:34
Good Morning Lovely Imps,
We can do this......we are nearly at the finish line and after today we only have three more days of home learning left! I am really proud of everything you have achieved at home.
Start of the day:
Listen to our good morning song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuI_p7a9VGs&list=PLb94l5o_Ywbo325ELIM_ZqDq7D2aitJgg
Fine Motor Skills:
Listen to our crocodile snap song using the following link and get those hands ready:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6kPcQSSsEY&t=6s
Using lego, building bricks, old empty boxes, build something amazing with them and take a picture to send to me. I wonder what different things you can build. Can you build something that reminds you of our African project like an African animal, an African hut, Handa, Akeyo, a palm tree etc?
Reading Challenge Two for Book Week:
Read a book outside somewhere and take a picture.
You may read at the seaside, in your garden, in the park etc
English:
Think about what happened in our book yesterday called ‘When the world made a rainbow.’ Have a listen to our rainbow song again using the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRNy2i75tCc&ab_channel=KidsTV123
and while you are listening to the song, have a think about which colour from the rainbow is your favourite? Write a sentence telling us why the colour you have chosen is your favourite. Start your sentence by writing I like __________ because _______ and you can either write how the colour makes you feel or what it makes you think of. Create a picture or a collage using just your favourite colour to accompany your sentence.
Maths:
Today we are going to continue thinking about those words heavy, light and weight. Have a look around your house and see if you can find 5 heavy objects and 5 light objects. Put all the heavy objects together and write out a label that says heavy. Put all the light objects together and write out a label that says light. Ask your adult first to see if you can carefully place each item into a bowl of water or a sink or bath and see if each item floats or sinks. Do you think the heavy objects will sink or float? Why do you think that is?
Phonics:
Revise all of your phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds that we have learnt so far (j, v, w and z, x, y, qu, ch, th, sh, ng, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar and ai). Today we are going to revisit the igh sound. Look in the resources where you will find some ‘igh’ sound flashcards. Read the words, using your sounds and decide if each one is a real word or an alien word (not real). Think about each word carefully and think about if each one is a word that you have heard or read before. It can sometimes be tricky to sound out alien words because they are made up! If you have time, use the following link to play the phonics game: https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/2/flashcards-time-challenge
Choosing phase 2/3 when playing.
