Daily Reflection: Our focus this week is 'Honesty'

As you listen to this beautiful song, be honest and think about what has been hard during this term?

What have you enjoyed?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zY5o9mP22V0

"I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity." 1 Chronicles 29

Imps and Adults,

Well, together we made!!!!! Thank you so much for all your patience, support and kindness throughout this term. It has meant the world to me and your beautiful children.

This weekend, it is our lovely Evie's birthday. We hope that she has a wonderful day celebrating....Happy Birthday Evie, we will be thinking of you!!!

Start of the day:

Listen to our good morning song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuI_p7a9VGs&list=PLb94l5o_Ywbo325ELIM_ZqDq7D2aitJgg

Handwriting:

Listen to our crocodile snap song using the following link and get those hands ready:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6kPcQSSsEY&t=6s

Today we are going to have a go at writing the letter z. Take a look at how this letter is formed using the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NuGXdxthyc

Try and write this letter as much as you can today. Try writing it in the air, with paint, with pencils and pens. In the resources you will find some handwriting sheets that you could use to help with all the letters. These don’t have to all be done today but you can keep them and complete them when you can.

Reading:

Do you have any space books at home or any stories about aliens, the moon or any other planets? Have a little read of them today and think about everything you have learnt in our space project this term. What can you remember about space? Maybe you could tell someone what you have learnt. Maybe you could ask your adult to take a picture of you reading your space book and send it to me, I can put it on our class page. One of your friends may be reading the same story!!!

English:

Today we are going to use our dream job pictures to help us write a sentence. Think about what you have to do in your dream job……do you have to help people; do you have to ride a vehicle etc? Think about what your dream job involves and then write a sentence to tell us. Don’t forget we use a capital letter at the beginning of our sentence and a full stop at the end. You may want to write more than one sentence, or you could use ‘and’ like we did last week to make your sentence longer.

Maths:

Can you count to 20 quickly and in a quiet voice? Can you count backwards?

Today we are thinking about ordering numbers. Cut out 20 little cards/squares of paper or you could use post it notes etc. On each one, write the numbers 1-20 and then turn them over face down on the table. Give them a muddle up. Turn one over at a time and try to order the numbers as you go from the smallest number to the biggest number. You should end up with a number line of your own. Ask your adult to shout out a number and see if you can point to that number or turn it over!

Phonics:

Revise all of your phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds that we have learnt so far (j, v, w and z, x, y, qu, ch, th, sh, ng, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar and ai). Today we are thinking about

the sound ‘oi. Use the link to hear the pronunciation of this sound: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvq9bdm/articles/zfj6jhv

Can you think of any words with the oi sound in? Use the following link to play the phonics game: https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/2/buried-treasure  When playing the game, choose phase 3 and the oi sound. Can you decide which words are real and which words are fake?

Afternoon activity:

Begin to think about Mrs Jukes’ ten-day photo challenge. Take a look at the challenge (near the top of the page, one of the rainbows) and think about what pictures you could take. If you are going on any walk over half term maybe you could take some pictures, then. I am really excited to start taking my pictures……. I have already thought about what I could take a photograph of that is blue!!!

Have a wonderful half term and make sure you have a rest….adults too!!!!!
