Good morning Pixies,

Today our school is taking part in the Big Garden Bird Watch with the RSPB.  If you get time today or over the next few days, you can have a look at the Rainbow Garden newsletter for January which Mrs Green has put onto the Gardening Club page on our website. (See link below)

I have also added the RSPB link below.

At the bottom of this page there is a PowerPoint with some useful information and a bar chart and bird spotting sheet that you might like to use.  The instructions are on the RSPB site.  It looks like a lot of fun!

You might even want to make a bird feeder.  Please send me any photos and I will add them to the Gardening Club page.

This morning's Reflection will happen at the start of our Zoom lesson.

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.”

Proverbs 2:6

Sit quietly for a few minutes and listen to some calming music.  Think about understanding and what it means.  You can think of a prayer to say with your grown up.

You can see the input for this lesson on Zoom at 9.30 (details of log in have been sent on the App).

Mrs F have a jewellery box full of jewels.  Show the crown jewels. Ask children if they know what they are and where they’re kept? Who do they belong to? Has anyone ever been to the Tower of London? Show photo of the Tower.

Tower of London

Learning Objective: I can find out about significant historical places.

Find out some information about the Tower of London:

How old is it?

What used to happen there?

Who lives there now?

You can also draw your favourite part of the Tower of London.

(There is also a London page border for you to use at the bottom of this page.)

Today’s phonics session will be at 11am on Zoom.  Please see log in details that were sent in an App message.

Have a look at the PowerPoint below to remind you of the landmarks of London.

Learning Objective: I can add ones using number bonds.

Play the video of Day 1 - Do you want to build a Snowman?

Follow the instructions in the video.  You will need paper and pen and if you are at home, perhaps you have some play dough?

You may want to use your 10 frames to help you.

Answer questions 5 and 6 on the worksheet at the bottom of the page.
