Good morning Hobbits!
I hope you have had a lovely weekend. I am really looking forward to seeing you today at 11.00 and 1.00 on Zoom. We will be doing Spelling Test in our first Zoom and Meeting our new Hobbit and the Book Week Activity and going through any questions about the learning in the second.

Today we are creating Story in a Box. This is a competition, I would like you to bring a book to life so get creative and make a ‘Story in a box’! You can use any media you, as long as your box brings to life a story or your favourite book. You have until Monday 15th March to create your masterpiece and be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Drop Everything and Read
Everyday this week at some point during the day you need to DROP EVERYTHING AND READ. This is where you stop what you are doing and read a book that you want to. Reading should be something we enjoy so doing it everyday will make us be able to enjoy it even more!
Read your way through Lent
This year we would like to link our love of reading along with our wonderful Lent Fundraising. We are asking you all to ‘Read your way through Lent’. It will be a sponsored read, raising as much sponsorship money as possible whilst you read as many books as you can before Easter. Officially, the sponsored read will start Monday 8th March and end Thursday 1st April on the last day of Term 4. Giving you 4 weeks to read as much as possible and raise as much money as you can. On Monday 8th March sponsorship forms will be handed out to all year groups along with more information from Mrs Jukes and Mrs Archibald on the special Lent fundraising. All the money raised this year will be donated to CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development). You can always make a start on your sponsored read now, or prepare a list of books that you would like to read your way through. Good luck everyone. J

This is our last day of online learning and I absolutely can not wait to see you all in person on Monday!
