Reflection

Good Morning everyone and welcome back to term 4! I hope and pray we get back together soon. THis weeks theme is very appropriate for what everyone needs to be right now together and that is strong. We need to support each other more than ever. Think about what you can around the home this week to help be strong for someone else. Could it be listen to them talk? Could you offer to do a job for someone? Could you just make them a drink? Be there and be strong for each other.

Maths

Today we are continuing to explore and look at fractions. Today we are looking at the last of our three days on equivalent fractions. There is a link to the videos found here

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-4/spring-week-7-number-fractions/

You can also access the videos by scanning the QR code below:

Alongside working through the video content, there is also a work sheet that will expand on adding fractions together.

English

We begin a new book today. We are going to explore the front cover today. Below are four different versions of the books front.

What do you notice is the same in all of these front covers? What is different between each front cover? Create a list of what is the same and different in each of the front covers.

What clues can you find from all the covers to what are story maybe about? What do you think may happen in the story? I would like you to create 5 predictions about what you think may happen in our book to share in English zoom tomorrow.

Computing

Today we are going back to media creation.

The choice of program you use today is up to you but you must fulfil the brief. A brief is a task you set with a a number of points you have achieve. They could tell you about how it should look, words it should contain or pictures you must put in. A brief allows you to create your own work whilst still doing what someone wants.

We will discuss briefs more in our zoom later.

Your brief for computing today is:

Create a poster about the rules and expectations for zoom learning.

Your poster must include:

-A bright, large title

-Clear font so you can read each idea

-A contrasting background colour to your font

-At least one image to support your ideas

Please send me any completed posters for us to use around the website to remind everyone how we should act and behave when on learning zooms.
