School Meals

School Meals at Stella Maris are provided by Chartwells. The cost of school meals £2.75 per day (from 1st September 2023).  Bookings and payments are made using ParentPay.  Bookings must be made by 9.30 a.m. on the day a meal is required although you can book for the term ahead rather than doing this task daily!

Some parents may be entitled to claim free meals for their children.  The School Office is able to advise on this.  All enquiries will be dealt with in confidence.  All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are now entitled to a free school meal in line with a government policy.

Children may also bring in a packed lunch.  Please refrain from sending in products that is made from or contains nuts we operate a nut free school.   We have a number of children with nut allergies and this protocol ensures they are kept safe when in our care.   These should be in a lunch box clearly marked with the child’s name.  Please see the School Food Policy (link below) for advice on preparing healthy packed lunches.  Older children are able to go home for lunch, provided we are told in advance of the arrangements.

Chartwells’ menus follow the government’s nutritional standards for school meals – the meals are healthy and enjoyable, with plenty of variety.
