Good Morning Unicorns!heart

What is a witch’s favourite subject in school?

Spelling!.

Zoom:

Join me at 9:00am for our Zoom – a quick Zoom this morning to see how you are all getting on. We will share our final reflection together for the week on ‘Prayer’.

Reflection

The theme this week is Prayer.

Today in reflection, we will be writing our own prayer webs whilst we quietly reflect to music. (Have a go with Mrs Jessup in our 9am Zoom).

Morning Lessons

Music:

Catch music with Duncan today at 10.00am!

English:

Spend time to ensure you Newspaper article is finished. Are you happy with it? Remember to send me a photo or email your work to me: sjessup@stellamaris.kent.sch.uk

Reading:

Jump to the RE task which will involve lots of reading today. You can work straight into your book, print the sheet or type on the page and send your work back to me.

Maths:

Arithmetic

It’s time to rock out to some TT Rockstars – Go on and have a play to practise those timetables this morning – why not pick a good song to dance to too? Here is a suggestion from me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ9rUzIMcZQ

LO: to use division to solve problems.

Today’s lesson: ‘Division to solve problems’ https://vimeo.com/490691954

Watch the video carefully – work through the tasks on the video first. Have a go at the White Rose worksheet that accompanies today’s task. If this is too tricky for you, maybe try the division worksheet I have also saved from Twinkl.

Zoom:

Join me at 12:00pm for our Zoom call before lunch. Today we will reflect this week's remote learning and our zooms. We may have another Shakespeare Quiz too! You can ask me questions and also share any ideas you have for future zoom lessons- would be lovely to check in and make sure everyone is okay.

Afternoon Lessons

RE:

LO: to look in detail at a bible story across the four Gospels.

Look at the re-telling of the story of Jesus feeding the crowd with loaves and fishes – Matthew 14: 13-21, Mark 6: 30-44, Luke 9:10-17, John 6: 1-14. Compare the stories and discuss why they think each Gospel varies in its detail. I have attached a sheet for you in ‘Today’s Documents’ so you can take notes about what differences or similarities you find from each version of the story across the four gospels.

French:

LO: to listen and recognise familiar vocabulary.

Last week we looked at school subjects in French. This week to follow on from our learning I have a small task for you.– follow the link to watch the clip –‘ Not again Farley’ – School:  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zwbwmp3

See what Farley gets up to at school and listen very carefully – what language do you recognise? Spot Farley speak about, times of day and the school subjects.

Well-Being activities:

Have you visited our class well-being tab yet? Why not spend some time on there this afternoon to end the week. There are lots of activities for you to choose from including, alphabet yoga, cooking, mindfulness colouring and lots of other activity-based worksheets. Look and choose one to do this afternoon.

Happy Friday –the end of the week is here! Well done Unicorns, another week of remote learning complete. I am SO proud of you all. Remember it is not a problem if you have not managed to get all the tasks completed this week – be kind to yourselves.

Have a lovely weekend and see you all Monday morning.

Love, Mrs Jessup. xxheart
