Good morning Hobbits!

 

 

I am really looking forward to seeing you today at 11.00 and 1.00 on Zoom. We will be doing Spelling Test in our first Zoom and a check in and gallery look at our Art so far in our second and going through any questions about the learning in the second.

Why is being understanding important?

 

English

Today we are editing our writing. 

 

Go through your whole story so far and make sure you are checking all of these really important things that are needed in your writing.

If you need to change anything use a different coloured pen/pencil to show you have changed your work. 

 

I MUST INCLUDE:

• Capital Letters for names, places, the start of my sentence and I on it's own.
• Full stops at the end of my sentences.
• Exciting vocabulary - adjectives, adverbs, time conjunctions, nouns and verbs. Can you add some more to your writing?
• Start story with 'Once upon a Time'
• Have a main character
• Have a villian

 

Make sure you go through all parts of your story and edit them all.

Be ready with the numbers 1-10 down the side of your page and the date which is 29.01.21.

 

You will be checking your answers yourself and emailing me your scores.

Arithmetic

• Try to do 30 minutes of Times Tables Rockstars- I shall be monitoring your progress!

Our focus this week is Missing Numbers.

The worksheets are the bottom of the page you don't have to print it off you can just write the answers. 

You have 15 minutes to complete your sheet, take your time and think carefully. Don't forget about your presentation!

 

Art

Today we are going to be looking at the progress of our art work and giving each other targets on how to improve. 

 

If you are not able to attend the Zoom the think about the formal elements.

How can you include or improve them in your own piece of work.

 

Formal Art Elements

• Pattern

 

In case you missed the task here is what you are going to be doing in art for the rest of the term. 

 

You are going to create a portrait using any materials you want. You could create a collage, painting, drawing, sketch or a mix of them all. It can be abstract, realistic, cartoon whatever way you want it to be. 

 

I want you to create a portrait of a person who means a lot to you. Someone who makes you feel special. Show off your skills, take you time and be patient this should not be done in one day you have two more Fridays to do it. 

 

I absolutely can't wait to see them! 

 

 

 

Another week done you fabulous lot. Another week closer to seeing you all again.
