- Share a range of activities which explore the effects of the wind e.g.
Blow bubbles. Talk about how you blow air into them and the air carries them away.
Fly a kite. Talk about how the wind lifts the kite and helps it to fly.
Watch and listen to a wind chime. Talk about how the wind enables music to be made.
- Have a celebration dance with red, yellow and orange streamers using music e.g. Rossini ‘Flight of the Bumble Bee’.
Learning Objective: Knows the importance of good health and physical exercise, and a healthy diet, and talks about ways to keep healthy and safe.
Go for a walk or run. Engage in another form of exercise like the yoga below.
Understanding the World
Learning Objective: Knows about similarities and differences in relation to places, objects, materials and living things. Can make observations of animals and plants and explain why some things occur and talk about changes.
Go for a walk around the outside and look at all the garden areas. Explore the plants and flowers that are growing. Discuss the similarities and talk about how garden areas and parks look different now that it is summer.
