Tuesday

Good Morning Unicorns,

Did you know...?

The planet Uranus was first discovered on a Tuesday by William Herschel on March 13, 1781. Wow!

Sending you all big virtual hugs.

English:

Using the short story from yesterday, ‘Astronuts’ refer to the supporting PowerPoint and practise answering three mark questions.

Top tip: PEE (Point, Evidence, Explanation) you will continue to use this technique when you’re in Year 7 too so it’s good to keep practising.

Can you write your first draft for your persuasive text – a persuasive text based on a London Landmark of your choice. This may take you a few days. Remember you can type this work up or write it in your exercise book.

Things to remember:

  • Headings for different paragraphs.
  • Persuasive language techniques.
  • A mix between formal and informal language.
  • Think – have you engaged the reader?
