Learning Objective: Writes for different purposes.
If you can, go outside and look for a minibeast. They usually like dark, damp places and hide under bricks or logs. When you find one, have a good look at it. How many legs has it got? What colour is it? Does it have any antennae? Perhaps you can take a photo or catch one in a jar (but remember to release it later).
Now draw it and label its parts. Remember to use your phonics.

Take a set each day – can you find an item in your home the begins with each of the letter sounds (phonemes) in a set? For example: Set 1. sock, apple, tin, pan Can you complete all of the sets in a week? For an extra challenge, can you order them in alphabetical order?
Maths
Learning Objective: They solve problems, including doubling, halving and sharing.
Using number cards or written out numbers 1 to 10, pick a number and count out that many object and then double it.
Turn it into a game with someone else in your house.
Understanding the World
Learning Objective: Captures and documents a sequence of events or experiences using ICT.
Use a camera, phone or tablet to tell a story using photos. Can you edit them or add effects?
