“Goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds that peacemakers plant in peace.”

James 3:18

Learning Objective:  Uses their phonic knowledge to write words in ways which match their spoken sounds. Writes some common irregular words.

Children to create a journey outside for the bears to follow -

Make own signs and draw own maps on a small and large scale (chalk on the playground, large rolls of paper, smaller individual maps).

Watch the video to recap all phase 3 single sounds, digraphs and trigraphs.  Stop the video when appropriate and give children a selection of words to write containing certain sounds.  Give a caption or sentence including a tricky word for the children to write.

Learning Objective: · Children count reliably with numbers from one to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number. Using quantities and objects, they add and subtract two single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer.

Using leaves, stones and sticks, decorate them to look like fish (or use imagination!) –

You might teach the children to subitise by holding the number of fish counted on one side and counting on from there (rather than starting from one again) to find the total number  of fish when the whole spread is revealed.

Learning Objective: Can talk about how they and others show feelings, talk about their own and others' behaviour and its consequences. Takes changes of routine in their stride.

Consider how it feels when you don’t first succeed or achieve your goal. How can children cope with these feelings of embarrassment or frustration? How might they overcome them? How can they achieve their goals? Role play giving each other advice.
