Good Morning Unicorns,
How are you all doing? Please do not forget you can drop me an email – missing you all! The weather has been wonderful so far this week and I’ve been making sure I get my one walk or run a day to get some fresh air.
Well let’s start with a ‘Did you know?’…
The word ‘Dreamt’ is the only English word that ends in the letters “mt”.

Today check out Lesson 4: Calculating Ratio – following the link. Complete the set activity that goes with the lesson. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/
For some Arithmetic work I’ve attached a PowerPoint from PIXL on Long Division. Follow the slides, have a go at the parts labelled ‘your turn’, problem solving and reasoning.
How have you got on with the draft of your persuasive text? Send me an email letting me know what you decided to write about or even better can you send me a photo of your work so far. I can add these to our Unicorns homework page on the website.
‘How to use possessive apostrophes’. Follow the link to BBC Bitesize. Watch the videos and play the quiz at the bottom of the web page. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zvwwxnb/articles/zx9ydxs
We have been learning about our capital city ‘London’ – take a look at the simple map of Europe saved with the documents below. Can you find out the name of each capital city in the different European countries? Make a list of them all – if you can, print the map and add the city names to the map.
Extra challenge: Choose a European capital city to research further. You can create a video, a PowerPoint or a simple fact file to gather your information. Look into the city’s famous landmarks, cuisine, culture and festivals etc.
Hope you all have a great day. Stay safe and BE HAPPY!
