Thursday Home Learning- Hobbits Class

English

Today's focus is on Synonyms and Antonyms.

Synonyms are words that mean the same thing but can make a text more exciting.

For your first task you need to make these sentences more exciting.

Example:

1. It was extraordinary day so we raced to the park.

Your second task concerns Antonyms which means the opposite and shows that you understand what the word means.

You need to match the opposite words together.

Example:

1. k. little, big

Maths

Your Arithmetic today is to try this sheet on your own as much as you can. Good Luck!

You only need to write down the workings and the answer. (Don't worry about doing number 10)

  • What position you are in
  • What material should it be made out of
