Good Morning Unicorns,

Did you know...?

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.

Hope your first day at home goes well. I look forward to hearing from some of you.

Maths:

https://myminimaths.co.uk/year-6-week-1-addition-subtraction-using-formal-written-methods-monday/

Please follow the link to Lesson 1: Using ratio Language. There is a worksheet to be completed.

English:

Enjoy some time reading your own book with a grown up or sibling today.

I have also attached the short story – ‘Astronuts’ Please find it with other documents at the end of this page.  Read through carefully – discuss language you are unsure of with a grown-up or use a dictionary to find the meaning of new words you are unfamiliar with.

As we are not in school we will not be able to finish our persuasive writing piece. I would like you to try and continue this at home.

Think about the London Landmark you would like to write about.  Create a simple plan similar to the work we did in class. I’ve attached some guidance to help you at the bottom. How will you persuade tourists or adults to visit your landmark? Complete a plan today (use a table, mind map or start a draft piece of writing).
