The Imps spent the day thinking about the Jewish festival called 'Rosh Hashanah.' We talked about this festival and looked at lots of pictures to help us with our learning. We also had a tuft tray full of resources to help us. The resources consisted of pictures, a special candle, bread, apples, honey and pomegranate seeds. We talked about the importance of each object and the children also tasted the bread and apple pieces dipped in honey. They also tried some pomegranate seeds, which they loved!
We talked about it being Earth's birthday, so we sang happy birthday to the Earth and we also made birthday cards for the Earth with a little message inside. The children were really proud of their cards. We then learnt about the creation story and began to make a display together.
