Written by Catherine O'Meara, a French/Irish Catholic. This beautiful poem was first written in the famine in 1869, republished during the Spanish Flu pandemic.

Please see a lovely poem written by George Pound for the staff and children at Stella ...

Stella Maris RC Primary School

The school is closed the kids are sad

They are at home with Mum and Dad

The teachers were all sad as well

And so they used a magic spell

They sent a message full of cheer

To the little ones they hold so dear,

Combining Love and Joy and Song

To help us all to carry on.

It shows that what will see us through

Is Love sweet Love which is so true

The Teachers show it everyday

When with the kids they work and play

Isolation is a dreadful pain

But we shall all return again

Safe in the knowledge there will be

A welcome there for you and me.

Love to all

Stay Safe

George ❤️
