Good morning Griffins,
Today is quiz day, yipee I hear you say!
At 2.30pm we will be having our quiz, details were sent out via the APP to one of your adults.
Don't forget, If you would like to say something have a short message prepared to read out to the rest of the class at the end of the quiz, no more than 10-15 seconds each.
Hope to see you later.
Mr and Mrs L x
As you listen to the music this morning I want you think about all your friends in Griffins class. Who are you missing? What do you miss about them? What are you looking forward to doing together when you meet again? We are so lucky to have so many wonderful friendships in our wee school. Please take time to thank God for your classmates during reflection.
Remember you do not have to copy out all of the questions, especially if they use complicated diagrams.
Your answers and any workings out are enough.
Lessons this week from Summer Term – Week 4 (w/c 11th May)
The question and answer sheets are now only found at the bottom of this page as you need a subscription to see them.
Watch the lesson and complete the sheet too: Lesson 2 - Equivalent fractions (More fractions!!!)
The sheets for lesson 2 are found in the resources at the bottom of this page.
Remember to read for 20-30 mins a day. Write down any words you can not read or any that you do not understand from your book.
Finishing your story.
If you need to finish your story this is your task today.
When you have done this read your story to someone in your house and get them to give you feedback about it, a bit like a book review.
If you have finished you can watch this great interview with Anthony Horowitz from 2014 (It is 1 hour long. You don't need to watch it all today, too much screen time is not good!).
He has a great passion for stories and reading and I felt inspired by his energy and enthusiasm. I hope you feel the same at the end of it.
He also reveals a lot about his inspiration for his books and characters, enjoy:
What happened to the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings?
Have a look at the following website to complete our learning on Vikings for this term.
Your task is to complete a timeline for Edward (see the interactive timeline on the website).
You will need to draw illustations and write appropriate captions for each part of the timeline.
See you at the quiz and chat at 2.30pm!
